Overview

Many of our students join Wentworth in Year 12, usually starting out with four AS subjects and carrying three of them on to A2. Increasingly, however, students enter the college for their final year of A-levels, in Year 13, perhaps because of disenchantment with their current school or because they are unhappy with their existing A-level choices. As part of our programme we offer extra tuition and catch-up classes to fill in any gaps in students’ knowledge from the AS part of the syllabus, and offer students the choice of retaking any AS units in which they feel that they have underperformed whilst studying elsewhere. It is also possible to change boards between AS and A2, and this flexibility enables continuity for students, making it much easier for students who are wishing to move schools midway through the Sixth Form.

Wentworth also offers extensive UCAS support to students, including advice on writing personal statements and on choosing the appropriate university and course.
