The GCSE students, through their citizenship course, regularly go out into the community to work with others. This ranges from helping in an old people's home, gardening or paired reading with a local Infant school.

To supplement the cultural learning process the college also organises overseas visits throughout the year. Recent trips have included Paris, New York and Washington. There is another trip planned to New York and Washington in November 2004 which will be Politics based as it coincides with the American Presidential Election.

Admissions
Prospective students are encouraged to spend a day at the college meeting the teachers and students and spending some time in lessons.

This is not a test! It gives everyone an opportunity to assess whether this is the right place for the student. We endeavour to give students as much information and assistance as they need before making any decisions.

This way we ensure that the student makes the best choices, appropriate to their needs and subsequent choice of further education.
