Wentworth Celebrates Outstanding A Level Results

With the introduction of new, ‘tougher’ A levels, Wentworth is celebrating our most successful set of results in a quarter of a century. An unprecedented 34% of grades were A*-A, with a number of students gaining 3 A*s. Our students rose to the challenge and gained A*s in a string of subjects including Biology, Chemistry, Drama, Economics, English Literature, Politics, History, Maths and Psychology. The majority of Wentworth students achieved grades enabling them to take up their offers at first-choice universities and all of our students impressively surpassed expected grades based upon their GCSE results. AS-level Politics Revision Day – Monday 29th May 2017

Wentworth College’s very own Alan Davies will be holding an AS-level Politics Revision Day on Monday 29th May 2017 at The Holiday Inn at Brent Cross from 10am to 4.30pm. Topics will include Democracy, Pressure Groups, UK Constitution and Prime Minister/Cabinet. All students will be given handouts on each topic. Alan, a former Chief Examiner, is the author of two Politics textbooks and has taught Politics A-level for the past 34 years. 2016 A Level Results

This years’s A Level results continue to give us reason to be extremely proud of our students. Of all A Level results at Wentworth, 80% were A*- C grades. The following subjects achieved 100% A*- C grades: * Biology * Chemistry * Drama * English * Geography * History * Physics * Psychology Well done to our students, many of whom have once again proved their ability to defy predictions made of them in previous schools and colleges. New Video

A few weeks ago, the college’s Media and Film department took delivery of a new video camera and the latest audiovisual/music software (Reason, Premiere Pro, After Effects, Audition, Speedgrade, for any tech geeks reading). We thought we’d test it all out by politely elbowing our way into a couple of lessons for a few minutes, pulling aside a handful of students and asking them to talk to us about their teachers.
