At Wentworth we believe that cultural enrichment should exist alongside academic development, and we encourage our students to participate in the many trips and extra-curricular activities that we offer at the college.
Recent overseas trips have included Paris, Washington DC, New York, Cuba, China and India, and we are currently planning visits to South Africa and South America. Film and Media Studies students recently travelled to Los Angeles in order to attend film-making workshops and visit Hollywood studio sets, and we are aiming to visit the Czech Republic in the near future.
Wentworth’s successful football team train weekly, and play regular fixtures against local teams. Players of all abilities are welcome, and the season ends with the eagerly anticipated 'Staff versus Students' game. The team recently took part in the San Marino Cup, and an overseas summer football tournament is set to become an annual event. To support the curriculum we regularly organise visits, open to all students, to museums, galleries, the theatre and the cinema. Recent trips have included Shakespeare’s Globe, BFI Southbank, The Tate Modern and the Holocaust Centre in Nottingham.
